The short walks have been designed to give you a quick glimpse of the heritage of the historical city Delhi

A Hindu Temple and Sufi Shrine
Description:
The tour starts at the Sufi Shrine of Sufi saint Nasir-ud-Din Mahmud popularly known as Dargah of Chiragh-i-Dihli, followed by a visit to the Kalka Temple near the Lotus temple. While the visit to the Chisti Sufi shrine will illustrate the manner in which popular mystic Islam lived and lives as an Indianized entity, the visit to the Hindu Kalka temple will epitomize the cult of the mother goddess and its percolation as a living heritage among Indians. Similarities and differences will become obvious as the multiple cultural streams run, intermingle and exist simultaneously.
The objective of the walk is a live exhibition on the two parallel religious centers that continue to thrive to provide India a syncretic culture.

The walk starts at the shrine of Dargah of Chiragh-i-Dihli, which you can approach from the outer ring road, reach the Chirag Delhi flyover turn left and then take the first turning left to approach the Dargah. We then drive to the Lotus temple to access the Kalka Shrine.

A Walk of Five Senses
Description :
As the Muezzin gives the soulful call for evening prayers, the walkers solemnly enters the Jama Masjid, which after 5pm remains closed to Non Muslims, but we make special efforts to have it opened only for us. From there the walkers proceed amidst the chaotic bazaars full of Islamic sensibilities the smells, clothes, jewelry, and eateries. They make their way into the winding lanes and enter the world of djinns. The walk covers Pre Mughal Sufi Monasteries the mystery grave of Muslim queens and ends to savor authentic Mughal cuisine.

Street Cuisine of Old Delhi
Description :
One visits the exotica of Old Delhi with its distinctive charm accessing the hustle bustle, quaint houses lanes and bylanes, interesting colorful shops, reflections of rituals and beliefs and the energy of the people. Street cuisine engages the local as they conduct their daily business. Most people refrain from eating despite their curiosity. This walk is aimed at celebrating the wide range of foods which encompasses an entire index of a living heritage. (Followed by an optional lunch in the famous lane serving Parathas)

The built and living culture of Mehrauli
Description :
Engaging the audience to live a dream. The Walk covers lifestyles and rituals of later Mughals and Sufism in this area. The Walk will commence at the Adam Khan's tomb, will cover the stepwell Gandhak ki Baoli, The Place - Zafar Mahal, The Sufi Shrine of Qutub Sahab where we will organize a Sufi Music Concert, and will end at the Gurudwara of Banda Bahadur.

Description :
This walk will be curated around the crafts museum. It will be an introduction to the understanding of various rituals, crafts, lifestyles, creative energies, ecology. The walk will cover one major gallery, and will end with a visit to the nearby Sufi Shrine of Matka Pir.

Layers of Indo Islamic Architecture - The Complex of Humayun's Tomb
Description :
The Humayun's tomb complex encloses some interesting built spaces. The narrative is based on research both in terms of archaeological, architecture texts along with oral historical narratives as interviews of the Sufis who took care of the complex before the takeover by the Archaeological Survey in the first decade of the 20thc. The walk commences at the Afghan tomb of Isa Khan followed by the complex of Arab ki Sarai representing the connectivity with trade routes, the internet of yesteryears - The horse mail and finally will end at the Humayun's tomb which represents both the sunrise and sunset of the Great Mughals.

The Great Mother Goddess
Description :
A walk around the Temple complex of Kalka Mandir, near the Lotus Temple. The Walk is curated to mark the ongoing celebration of Navaratri. "Nava-ratri" literally means "nine nights." This festival is observed twice a year, once in the beginning of summer and again at the onset of winter. The Temple complex boasts of history going back 3.000 years back. The temple hosts a potpourri of lived mythical reality intervowen with history replete with a history of about 300 years has a large compendium of oral narratives of the people who live there as pilgrims, asectics, and service providers. The temple presents an institutional facade and comprises of a fascinating lived and built heritage. The walk will cover pilgrim houses, the temple complex and encounter with Babas who have been inspired by the energy of the Mother godddess.
